The weather was balmy and dry, so the crowds turned out in force for the third annual Lewes Light festival which ran from the Town Hall, down School Hill and through The Cliffe. St Thomas’ parish church was the official finish, although for some who live at that end of town it became their starting point.
Thanks to creativity from talented designer Karen van Creveld the church looked magnificent, and it was wonderful to welcome so many. Young and old alike, they all seemed to adore the artistic interpretation and the chance to add their own candle to the 1,000 amassed along the side of this historic building.
