Traditional worship takes place DAILY in this small, welcoming church in the Cliffe area of Lewes. All liturgy is from the Book of Common Prayer which contains the Anglican church’s founding liturgy and remains its official standard of doctrine.

We welcome worshippers from far afield who come to St Thomas to sample ‘church like it used to be’, as well as many who live in the parish and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and a service they know and love.

Sunday morning sung Eucharist (at 9.45) includes traditional hymns from the New English Hymnal. Other services are said, including the weekday early morning Mattins and Holy Communion (7am) and daily Evening Prayer (6pm) which includes the Prayer Book Psalms appointed for each day.

The 1662 lectionary is used on Sundays, 1927 during the week. All readings are taken from the Authorised Version.

You are very welcome at any of our services.

Parking is available in the small council car park adjacent to the church and the large car park in Malling Way just two minutes walk away.
